省長賀謹延長緊急狀態令兩周 B.C. Premier John Horgan extends state of emergency for two weeks
British Columbia Premier John Horgan discussed the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday.
Horgan said that they will be extending the state of emergency in B.C. for an additional two weeks.
“It’s going to take resolute action by all of us to ensure that we continue to make progress, rather than give up the progress that has been so hard fought for over the past month and a half,” said Horgan.
Earlier this month, Horgan formally extended a provincial state of emergency until April 28 as B.C. continued to cope with the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak.
Horgan on Wednesday also foreshadowed ways that B.C. could reopen its economy, saying that the province will announce plans next week.
As of Tuesday, April 28, there were 2,053 confirmed cases of the disease in the province, and 1,190 of those that were fully recovered. The death toll stood at 105.
