Why nearly 5 million Canadians broke up during the pandemic
The last 15 months of the pandemic hasn’t been easy on anyone. Psychologists say having to navigate life under lockdown, working remotely, managing kids and losing access to many coping mechanisms has taken a toll, especially on couples. A national study by Finder Canada, updated in March, shows about 15 per cent of Canadians either broke up or divorced since the start of the pandemic. Global’s Sharmeen Somani reports.
